Our Singapore site is the Asia Pacific hub for engineering, technical support and MRO services, partnering closely with customers to ensure operational excellence, flight safety and long-term performance across the region.

We are currently looking for a Service Engineer to provide expert technical support and troubleshooting solutions to global operators and customers, while ensuring product safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across our helicopter engine systems.

 

Role Overview

The Service Engineer role focuses on delivering advanced technical support, resolving in-service issues, and contributing to product reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also plays a key role in customer engagement, technical reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.


Main Responsibilities

Formulate customized troubleshooting plans

Provide technical solutions to difficulties encountered by operators, customers, and Front Offices

Conduct visits to key operators and customers for technical reviews

Analyse and issue Technical Agreements to ensure continued engine serviceability

Analyse downloaded engine data and performance parameters as required

Participate in contract and program management reviews between Corporate and Front Offices

Present SAFRAN Helicopter Engines (HE) products and services at symposiums and customer councils

 Ensure product safety, reliability, and continuous improvement through the following activities:

Lead investigations into in-service events

Gather and analyse field feedback (return of experience) and conduct investigations as necessary

Review Health Monitoring data for operators and customers under contract

Perform ad-hoc customer visits as part of crisis management

 Support SAFRAN HE business requirements:

Lead cost optimisation projects

Participate in digitalisation initiatives


Must-Have Requirements

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, customer-facing roles, or MRO environments

Strong knowledge of gas turbine engines and/or helicopter systems

Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex engineering issues

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging customers

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Customer-focused with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

High adaptability and resilience in dynamic or high-pressure situations
