The Role
We are seeking a highly passionate, motivated, andexperienced Senior Risk Consultant to join our Consulting and ClientServices Group. As a senior member of our client-facing team, you will leadaccount management and consulting projects, helping clients maximize the valueof Verisk's software platforms (such as Touchstone®, Touchstone Re™) tounderstand their risk profiles, improve data quality, and make betterunderwriting/reinsurance decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Account Management: Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and providing proactive, high-quality service.
- Consulting Projects & Risk Analysis: Lead complex consulting projects, performing sophisticated risk analyses for insurers, brokers, and re-insurers.
- Software Expertise & Support: Troubleshoot client issues and answer technical questions regarding Verisk’s modelling platforms (e.g., Touchstone/Touchstone Re).
- Model Implementation & Training: Present to clients on portfolio insights, provide training sessions, and assist with onboarding and transitioning to new model versions.
- Feedback & Innovation: Act as a conduit for client feedback to internal model development and product management teams, driving product improvements.
- Pre-Sales Support: Support business development efforts through demonstrations and technical presentations to prospects.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior risk consultants and analysts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in catastrophe modelling, risk consulting, or an aligned insurance/reinsurance industry role.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Verisk software is highly preferred.
- Analytical Prowess: Strong quantitative skills, a solid understanding of probability concepts, and proficiency in analysing large datasets.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL is highly beneficial for automating workflows and manipulating data.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, engineering, geography, science, or a related quantitative field.
