Job description for Senior Process Development Engineer at AAC Technologies Pte. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve wafer probing, parametric testing, and die sorting processes to achieve stable and efficient manufacturing operations.

Analyse electrical test data, wafer maps, and binning results to identify yield issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Manage the qualification and optimization of probe cards, load boards, tester interfaces, and probing parameters to ensure reliable test performance.

Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to monitor process capability, equipment stability, and test repeatability.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce test cycle time, improve equipment utilisation, minimise downtime, and lower manufacturing costs.

Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test Development, Process Integration, and Manufacturing teams to support new product introductions and process transfers.

Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, qualification reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Provide technical guidance and training to production operators and maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in wafer probing, wafer testing, or wafer sort processes within a cleanroom environment.

Hands-on experience with automated wafer probers and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).

Proficient in statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, Spotfire, or equivalent, with experience in SPC, process capability analysis, and yield improvement.

Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, FMEA, and Six Sigma.

Experience in process optimisation, manufacturing troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects.

Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g. Python, SQL, or R) will be an advantage.

Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SECS/GEM communication protocols is preferred.

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification will be an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
