About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Engineer - Electrical Distribution Solutions to join our team at SIME DARBY INDUSTRIAL SDN BHD'. This is a full-time position based in the Boon Lay West Region of SG. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our industry-leading electrical distribution solutions, playing a key part in the success and growth of our Electrical/Electronic Engineering division.

What you'll be doing

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the electrical distribution market

Engaging with customers to understand their unique requirements and propose tailored solutions

Preparing detailed proposals and technical specifications to win new contracts

Negotiating commercial terms and closing sales deals

Providing post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to inform our sales strategy

Collaborating with the wider engineering team to develop innovative new products and services

What we're looking for

A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sales engineering role within the electrical distribution industry

Proven track record of successfully identifying, pitching and closing sales deals

Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and systems

Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with customers

Commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate favourable contract terms

A collaborative and customer-focused mindset
