About the role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at our Chijmes, City Hall. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations. As Restaurant Manager, you will be the driving force behind delivering exceptional service standards, managing staff, and ensuring our guests experience the highest level of hospitality. This role is pivotal in upholding our brand values whilst maintaining profitability and operational excellence across all service areas.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth and efficient service
Managing and supervising front-of-house, including training, scheduling and performance management
Maintaining exceptional service standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations
Managing budgets, controlling costs and maximising revenue through effective financial planning and inventory management
Creating and implementing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and build customer loyalty
Coordinating with the kitchen team and suppliers to ensure quality standards and consistency in food and beverage delivery
Handling customer inquiries, complaints and special requests with professionalism and discretion
Conducting regular staff briefings and training sessions to maintain high performance standards
Monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on operational metrics, sales and staff performance
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a restaurant management or similar hospitality management role
Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations
Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and revenue management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges
Flexibility and resilience, with the ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
A genuine interest in organic, sustainable and ethical hospitality practices would be advantageous
