Job description for QUANTITY SURVEYOR at Suzhou Yuanlin
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to prevent cost overruns.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Negotiate and analyze contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Measure and value the work done on-site for progress payments.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
- Prepare and submit tender documents and bids.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and financial reports.
- Monitor changes to designs, assess the impact on costs, and update budgets accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in cost-estimation software and MS Office.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
