About the role
TAT LEE E&C PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in the Bishan Central Region. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, budgets, and financial controls throughout all stages of construction projects. This position is integral to ensuring the financial viability and successful delivery of our projects whilst maintaining profitability and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts for construction projects at various stages
Managing project costs through regular monitoring, tracking and reporting of expenditure against approved budgets
Preparing and analysing variation orders, claims and contract modifications to ensure accurate financial impact assessment
Conducting quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
Liaising with contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate competitive pricing
Valuing works completed by contractors and preparing interim and final payment certificates
Maintaining detailed cost records, schedules and documentation for audit and project reporting purposes
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and providing recommendations to project management teams
Assisting in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to project financial performance
Collaborating with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure alignment on project scope and costs
What we're looking for
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline
Professional qualification or membership with recognised surveying bodies (e.g., AIQS, QSMA or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
Proficiency in cost estimation software, Microsoft Excel and project management tools
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement procedures and standard forms of contract
Excellent numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) regulations and guidelines is highly desirable
Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and cost management software is advantageous
