Job description for QUANTITY SURVEYOR at RAMO
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
Prepare accurate quantities from drawings and specifications.
Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with project requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive quotations and material costs.
Support the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.
Conduct cost comparisons and value engineering assessments.
Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategies in the cost plan.
Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required.
Maintain updated cost databases, price lists, and records of current market rates.
Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and project management teams.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tendering procedures.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and industry practices.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying and tendering roles.
Experience in infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects is preferred.
