Job description

• Lead and manage the Quality team – QA and QC, to identify issues within the team and department and to develop improvement measures.
• Responsible for providing directives for the Quality Assurance Department in meeting management objectives.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate quality strategies programs for the company.
• Implement and maintain a system of auditing the facility and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools.
• Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs.
• Administer and manage continuous improvement program for all QA processes.
• Work closely with auditors, customers, production and suppliers to meet the quality requirements.
• Manage sub-contractors for on-time supply of quality process, as well as meeting technical requirement.
• Review / prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the technical specifications, customer's surveillance requirements, and good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their execution.
• Work closely among inter-department to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effectively manner.
• Review and approve disposition program / action for nonconforming products.

• Establishing and improving our quality management system by including standardization in order to obtain and maintain certification for quality management such as ISO9001 and API Q1. In addition, develop and implement plans for management reviews, internal audits, and others external and customer audits.

• Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system, and note needed improvements.
• Ensure the promotion of awareness of statutory, regulatory and customer requirements throughout the organization.
• Ensure and coordinate the implementation of risk assessment and risk control.

• Implement improvement plan to reduce and control rejection rate.

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in business by ensuring that products meet certain standards of quality. To directs or coordinates quality assurance programs and formulate quality control policies. Also, work to improve an organisation's efficiency and profitability by reducing waste. Prepares and update quality documentation, basing their processes on a recognised standard such as ISO 9000 and API Q1 – Quality Management, published by the International Organisation for Standardisation. Supervises teams of inspectors who carry out the detailed assessment of products and their components at different stages of production.

Requirements
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Quality Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of solid experience in Quality Management in similar or related industry and 3 years in management level.

• Certified in API Q1, ISO, internal auditor and other relevant auditor certificate.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and API Q1 is a must.

• Good knowledge in implementing and up keeping Quality Management System.

• Knowledge of metal working industry is preferred
• Knowledge of risk assessment principles and methology.
• Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills.
• A team player with strong sense of responsibility to ensure plant effective quality performance.
