About the role

Benco Maritime Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced QS/Project Engineer to join our team in the Jurong East West Region. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a QS/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from budgeting and cost control to site supervision and quality assurance.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects

Manage the procurement of materials and subcontractor services

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards

Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against project plans

Analyse cost variances and implement corrective measures as needed

Prepare progress reports and financial statements for senior management

Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team

What we're looking for

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar QS/Project Engineer role within the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction materials, cost estimating, and contract management

Proficient in using project management software and cost control tools

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing project requirements
