Job description for QA Engineer at Obvio Health

We are looking for a detail oriented and motivated QA Engineer to join our growing team at ObvioHealth. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality software by ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability.

You will work with other QA engineers, developers, and product managers to understand requirements, identify potential issues early, and implement testing strategies that support a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Development, Design) to clarify requirements and ensure testability.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA.
  • Clearly communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Contribute to and maintain automated test scripts to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in QA.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in QA or a related role within a software development team.
  • Solid understanding of QA principles, test case design, and defect tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing across various platforms and environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • A team player with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Bonus if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Exposure to or interest in the clinical trial or healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with or eagerness to learn test automation tools.
  • A proactive attitude toward learning new tools and technologies.
