Job Responsibilities
Requirements
- Source and purchase materials, hardware, and consumables for manufacturing and carpentry projects.
- Request quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate with suppliers of pricing, credit terns and supplier contracts.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO).
- Follow up on delivery schedules and ensure timely supply of materials.
- Coordinate with production and project teams on material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock planning.
- Monitor cost and project budget and develop cost forecasts.
- Maintain supplier records and purchasing documentation.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, and supplier issues.
- Assist in logistics and shipment coordination when required.
- Diploma / Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, carpentry, construction, or millwork industry is an advantage.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and purchasing processes.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Responsible, organized, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of AutoCount software, logistics and inventory coordination will be advantageous.
