About the Role
The Purchasing Executive supports the company's procurement operations by sourcing materials and services, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The role manages samples, and ensures the timely availability of materials to support business operations. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong supplier and internal relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of company products and procurement requirements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to support operational demands for materials, equipment, commodities, and services.
- Monitor incoming material schedules and coordinate delivery arrangements to ensure timely and sufficient supply.
- Oversee warehouse operations inventories to ensure accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage samples and support daily procurement activities.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of purchasing and logistics functions.
- Perform other adhoc duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
