Job description for Project Engineer at Perma-Liner Industries
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a background in the water and wastewater industry to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, planning, and execution of trenchless rehabilitation projects, working closely with consultants, contractors, and utility authorities. This role offers hands-on exposure to cutting-edge trenchless technologies and regional project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of water and sewer rehabilitation projects.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, tender submissions, and method statements.
- Perform site supervision, inspection, and quality control in line with project and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
- Conduct condition assessments using CCTV, sonar, or other inspection technologies.
- Support in developing technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with PUB, LTA, and international standards (ASTM, BS EN, WRc, etc.).
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety and quality at all worksites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- 3 years’ experience in the water/wastewater, sewer rehabilitation, or infrastructure sector.
- Knowledge of pipeline design, trenchless technologies, or rehabilitation methods is an advantage.
- Familiarity with codes and standards (ASTM, BS EN, PUB COP, LTA COP).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering software preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
- Willingness to travel for regional projects when required.
