Job description for Project Engineer at AAC Technologies Pte. Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management: Define project scope, create detailed timelines (Gantt charts), track milestones, and manage deliverables from initial system conceptualization through to fab floor deployment.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize efforts across mechanical, electrical, software, and vision engineering teams to prevent bottlenecks and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively identify technical, supply chain, and scheduling risks. Formulate robust contingency plans to keep tool qualification and deployment schedules on track.
Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for external equipment vendors (e.g., prober, tester, and probe card manufacturers). Manage equipment procurement, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site acceptance testing (SAT).
Resource & Budget Tracking: Allocate engineering resources efficiently, track project expenditures, and manage tool capacity planning to maximize return on investment (ROI).
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present clear, data-driven status updates, key performance indicators (KPIs), and escalation paths to executive leadership and fab operations managers.
Process Documentation: Standardize engineering workflows, maintain rigorous project documentation, and conduct post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of engineering project management experience, preferably in semiconductor, equipment, or automation industries.
Knowledge of ATE, wafer probers, probe cards, and test systems.
Familiar with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Asana, or Smartsheet.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
PMP/CSM certification and semiconductor cleanroom/HVM experience are an advantage.
