Job description for Project Engineer (Rail Systems) at HollySys
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise on-site installation works, including cable laying, termination, containment/metal works, and equipment installation.
Liaise with civil contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth site execution and proper interface management.
Perform system testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and rectification during installation and commissioning stages.
Prepare and update drawings, as-built documentation, method statements, and test reports.
Provide technical support to the project team and assist in progress monitoring and reporting.
Ensure compliance with railway/infrastructure standards, safety procedures, and site practices.
Support project coordination and other assigned duties as required.
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in railway, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
Experience in system installation, testing, and commissioning is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of railway/infrastructure standards and site safety procedures.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Able to work independently on-site and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in LTA rail projects or system works.
Familiar with AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD.
Experience in testing & commissioning activities is an advantage.
