Job description for Programme Officer at Malay Youth Literary Association (4PM)

PROGRAMME EXECUTIVE (Youth & Language)

1.      Programme Planning and Coordination

Work with Programme Manager and Social Workers to:

Plan and conduct Youth engagement programmes

Administer logistics for class learning journeys and contact sessions, maintaining clear communication with teachers and students.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and obtain necessary consent forms from participants.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with programme activities, prioritising participant safety and well-being.

2.      Performance Evaluation

Conduct surveys to evaluate programme effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Monitor programme outcomes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing corrective measures.

3.     Bahas 4PM (Malay Language Debate Competition)

Coordinate and implement 4PM Annual Debate (Bahas) Competition for Secondary and Tertiary  (Preliminary rounds to Finals) according to programme deliverables.

Work with volunteers and facilitators to ensure role clarity throughout the competition.

Coordinate registration, briefing and workshops for both participants and judges.

Work closey with the volunteer Committee on the deployment of tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the competitions and eventsset up.

Communicate with schools and partners to ensure participation and the smooth running of the competition.

Track programme expenses, procurements, and submit claims in accordance with finance guidelines.

Prepare post-event reports, including grant reporting, 4PM’s annual report and internal updates.

Qualifications& Experience

•Diploma

•At least 3 years’ experience in programmes and/or events
