Job description for Process Associate Engineer (AOI) at Inter Island Group

Working Hours

3/4 days alternate work week (Rotational Morning / Night shift - 12 hours)

Key responsibilities

Monitor and support daily AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) processes to ensure stable and efficient production.

Troubleshoot AOI-related issues, including inspection failures, false calls, and machine alarms.

Optimize AOI inspection programs, recipes, and parameters to improve defect detection accuracy.

Analyze inspection results and defect trends to improve product yield and reduce escapes.

Support engineering evaluation lots, process qualifications, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on process defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Collaborate with Production, Equipment, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and key process indicators to maintain process stability.

Prepare and maintain process documentation, inspection standards, engineering reports, and work instructions.

Ensure compliance with cleanroom, safety, and quality requirements while driving continuous process improvements in semiconductor manufacturing.

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Materials Engineering / Chemistry or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Relevant semiconductor manufacturing experience, preferably in AOI or related inspection processes.

Experience with AOI systems, vision inspection, defect analysis, and image processing will be advantageous.

Required to work in a cleanroom environment and wear cleanroom attire as required.

Required to work 12-hour rotating or permanent shifts based on operational requirements.
