Job description for OS Infrastructure Engineer (Linux/Unix/Windows) at Woori Bank
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage, monitor and troubleshoot Linux/Unix and Windows server environments across regional subsidiaries.
• Perform OS patching, configuration updates, health checks, system monitoring and operational maintenance activities.
• Analyze infrastructure issues and support incident troubleshooting across server, virtualization, storage, backup and middleware environments.
• Support daily operational activities to ensure stable infrastructure services across overseas entities.
• Coordinate with local IT teams, vendors and regional stakeholders during incidents, maintenance activities and operational issues.
• Support regional subsidiaries during infrastructure issues, troubleshooting activities, system stabilization and operational improvement initiatives.
• Participate in infrastructure deployment, migration, upgrade, DR/BCP testing and project support activities when required.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, system availability, backup status and operational health.
• Support enterprise and banking systems hosted on physical, virtualized or cloud platforms.
• Prepare operational reports, troubleshooting summaries, maintenance documentation and infrastructure analysis reports.
• Travel to overseas subsidiaries when required to support operational stabilization, troubleshooting and infrastructure activities.
Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix/Windows server administration.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies.
• Experience in OS troubleshooting, patching, backup and system monitoring.
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, Python, ShellScript, etc.).
• Basic understanding of infrastructure architecture including OS, network, storage, database and middleware interactions.
• Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia).
