Job Summary

Reporting to Managing Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination and execution of the company’s workshop operations. As an approved repair organization specializing in the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of aircraft interior components, the company requires the role to oversee production scheduling, manpower and resource management, cost control and regulatory compliance, while driving on-time delivery, quality and continuous improvement. Acting as a key liaison between customers, suppliers and internal departments, the Operations Manager also develops project plans, quotations and schedules to support both operational delivery and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and oversee daily workshop operations covering the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of aircraft interior components

• Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and turnaround time (TAT) targets are met

• Conduct technical analysis of customer requirements and work scopes, and develop project plans, quotations and work schedules, ensuring accurate scoping of manpower, materials and turnaround times to support timely and cost-effective delivery

• Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling and resource allocation across workshops

• Liaise closely with stakeholders on project status, technical requirements and delivery commitments

• Coordinate with procurement and stores on material availability, and with suppliers/subcontractors on outsourced work

• Monitor operational budgets, control costs and drive productivity and process improvement initiatives

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements (CAAS SAR-145 / EASA Part-145 / FAA), customer specifications and company procedures

• Work with the QC/QA department to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) requirements

• Lead, coach and develop supervisors, technicians and support staff; conduct performance reviews

• Prepare management reports on operational performance, KPIs and capacity planning

• Support business development activities including capacity assessments and customer audits

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation / aerospace MRO operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity

• Strong working knowledge of aircraft cabin interiors (seats, panels, galleys, lavatories, soft furnishings) preferred

• Familiar with CAAS / EASA / FAA regulatory frameworks and Part-145 environment

• Proven track record in production planning, manpower management and cost control

• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills

• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP/MRO software is an advantage

• Open to Singaporeans only
