Job description for Operations Manager/ Assistant Operations Manager (Catering) at Royal Catering Services
We are looking for a hands-on and organized Operations Manager to oversee catering operations, logistics coordination, and event execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, service-oriented, and experienced in managing event operations and service teams in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $3,400 - $4,800
Location: Bedok
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise catering staff to ensure smooth event setup and adherence to operational SOPs.
- Oversee daily catering operations, including logistics coordination, manpower planning, and event execution.
- Ensure timely delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering events according to schedule.
- Maintain compliance with food hygiene, workplace safety, and operational standards.
- Coordinate and deploy service staff for banquets, corporate functions, and catering events.
- Liaise with clients on event requirements, setup arrangements, and operational needs.
- Monitor the proper handling, storage, and maintenance of catering equipment and inventory.
- Conduct onboarding and on-the-job training for new catering personnel.
- Supervise service teams during events to ensure efficient operations and quality service delivery.
- Support management with operational planning and other assigned duties when required.
Requirements:
- Experience in catering, banquet, F&B, or event operations preferred.
- Leadership experience will be a plus
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable to carry heavy items and able to handle operational duties including loading/unloading.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when required.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is an advantage.
- Possess Class 3 driving license
