Job description for OPERATION OFFICER / EXECUTIVE at MEGASTAR LOGISTICS PTE. LTD.
Job Scope
1) Vessel Operations & Port Berthing Plan: Coordinate and manage vessel schedules to ensure efficient port rotations and on-time performance within the Port of Singapore (PSA).
2) Prepare and submit Arrival Advice (AA), Arrival Declaration (AD), Pre-Arrival / Pre-Departure documentation, and Port Clearance Certificates (PCC)
3) Liaise closely with PSA/JP operations teams, port authorities, and terminals regarding daily vessel activities, including loading, discharging, and shifting.
4) Monitor company vessel movements, status, and port progress to ensure operational schedules are adhered and r
eport operational delays, irregularities, incidents, or non-compliance issues to the Manager and assist with corrective follow-up actions.
5) Ensure correct execution of container loading, discharging, and stowage plans, complying with safety, stability, and terminal operating requirements.
6) Investigate, document, and report any operational incidents, such as container damage, short/over landed cargo, or delays.
7) Reporting, Monitoring & Operational Control: Maintain accurate and timely operational records, and monitor vessel performance and port turnaround time.
Job Responsibilities
-Coordinate with vessels, terminals, suppliers, and service providers regarding vessel schedules
-Manage vessel arrivals, departures, and port formalities, including barge arrangements and crew-related matters
-Manage Tug/Barge supplies including securing equipment, freshwater, and Bunkering
-Submit required documentation to the Port Authority and other relevant regulatory bodies
-Monitor vessel ETAs and track vessel movements while in port
-Assist with crew operations, documentation, and crew change coordination

Liaise with shipowners and principals regarding agency appointments
-Provide operational support to immediate Managers and perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in port agency shipping operations
Strong understanding of Singapore port operations, PSA procedures, and MPA requirements
Effective communication and coordination skills with local authorities and service providers
Process all necessary formalities and declarations timely to ensure smooth arrival/departure of ship assigned. (i.e. : ICA, MPA, Port of clearance)
Follows all rules and regulations according to the authorities
Maintains a good relationship with the Ship Captain and Chief Officer
Good knowledge of Port and Immigration regulations
Good team player and communication skill
Problem solver with a positive attitude
Salary commensurate with experience
