The National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore is the national specialist centre and regional centre for clinical referrals for the management and treatment of the neurosciences, as well as for education and research conducted in the field. NNI offers over 20 subspecialties in neuroscience care and treats a broad range of illness affecting the brain, spine, nerves and muscles. Offering a comprehensive range of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology services using the latest technology and experience of our healthcare professionals, NNI is at the forefront of neuroscience care in Singapore and across the region.

A Neuro Technologist position is available in the Department of Neurodiagnostic Laboratory at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore. The department provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic investigations to help physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of Epilepsy, Stroke, Parkinson Disease, Neuromuscular and other neurological diseases.

As part of the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory Team, you will carry out Neurodiagnostic procedures on inpatients and outpatients, in the laboratory/ intensive care units/ other hospitals. Procedures done will then be furnished to the reporting doctors for their finalisation which will aid in the diagnosis and patient management. There will be on-call shift. The main scope of Neurodiagnostic procedures performed are electrophysiological tests such as Electroencephalography (EEG) and Nerve Conduction Study (NCS).

Requirements

  • Graduate with Degree in Medical Science, Biomedical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biological Science or equivalent
  • Experience in relevant field/ fields will be an advantage
  • Possesses good communication skills and a good team player
