Job description for Mechanical Engineer at Chong Fong Engineering Pte Ltd
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare Bill of Material (B.O.M.) for fabrication works and select suitable OEM items.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for manufacturing and production process issues.
- Liaise with the operation team on technical challenges and manufacturing processes.
- Provide alternative solutions to production for process-related problems.
- Coordinate with customers on technical issues, enquiries, and support.
- Ensure fabrication works comply with project requirements and quality standards.
- Assist in continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
QUALIFICATION
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Few years working experience in precision engineering field
- Familiar with machining process (milling, turning, EDM or wire cut operation) would be added advantage
- Familiar with metal fabrication processes like welding, sheet metal work, surface treatment etc
- Mechanical software (AUTOCAD, Solidwork, MasterCAM or UG)
- Proficient with Excel
- Good working attitude, disciplined and systematic
- Entry level candidates may apply for junior position
