Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer

Overview

The key objective of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer is to design, develop, implement and support Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) solutions for industrial customers. The MES Engineer will participate in full project lifecycles including requirements gathering, solution development, testing, commissioning, deployment and technical support.

The role requires strong technical and analytical skills to integrate MES applications with ERP systems, industrial automation platforms, databases and shopfloor systems. MES Engineers are expected to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and customer stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable industrial digitalization solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement MES/MOM applications for manufacturing environments.

Configure, develop and support integrations between MES, ERP, SCADA, PLC and historian systems.

Develop software components, APIs, reports, dashboards and database objects for manufacturing applications.

Participate in customer requirement analysis, technical design, testing, commissioning and deployment activities.

Troubleshoot application, database, connectivity and system integration issues.

Support change management, version control and deployment activities following project standards.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.

Provide technical documentation, training and post-implementation support to customers.

Support customer operations and respond to technical queries when required.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in MES/MOM/SCADA/Industrial Automation related projects.

Experience with ERP/MES/LIMS/QMS/APS/OEE/WMS/CMMS systems and integrations will be advantageous.

Experienced in .NET Core & Framework (C#), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and REST API development.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.

Familiar with ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards for manufacturing systems integration.

Exposure to industrial software platforms such as PARSEC TrakSYS, Siemens Opcenter, AVEVA MES, Ignition, Wonderware, Rockwell FactoryTalk, or similar solutions is advantageous.

Understanding of industrial communication and integration technologies is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in English with internal teams and customers.

Flexibility to support customers during off-hours when required.

Willingness to travel for project execution and commissioning activities.
