Job description for Manager/Assistant Manager, Research Unit at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct basic research on Singapore Chinese culture.
Administer and facilitate research projects in Singapore Chinese culture.
Build partnerships with academia, cultural/civic organisations and public institutions, as well as cultural practitioners and enthusiasts.
Oversee the presentation of research content, including the production of documentaries, publications, online articles and other creative products.
Conceptualise and work with partners on programmes to present research on Singapore Chinese culture to target audience, including general public, students.
Requirements:
Have a good university degree.
Possess strong writing, presentation, engagement and administrative skills.
Resourceful in researching for relevant information related to Singapore Chinese culture.
Able to write and speak well in English and Chinese/Mandarin.
Possess an eye for details for editing/vetting in both English and Chinese.
Have analytical skills for preparation of project proposals.
Able to engage and work with diverse partners and stakeholders.
Can work independently as well as in a team.
Have a strong interest in and knowledge of Chinese culture, and good understanding of Singapore Chinese culture.
1-3 years of working experience. Suitable entry-level candidate would also be considered.
