YOUR ROLE
The Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and improving production equipment and related systems to ensure high availability, reliability, safety, and performance. The role typically involves troubleshooting equipment issues, driving corrective and preventive actions, supporting installation and qualification activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoot equipment failures, downtime, and process-related issues
Analyze equipment performance data and identify root causes of recurring problems
Define and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and productivity
Support equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, and qualification activities
Collaborate with production, maintenance, process, quality, and industrial teams
Participate in equipment spare parts strategy and maintenance planning
Contribute to equipment upgrades, modifications, and obsolescence management
Ensure equipment complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Prepare technical documentation, procedures, reports, and improvement proposals
Support continuous improvement projects such as yield, cycle time, OEE, and cost reduction
Provide technical guidance and support to technicians or junior engineers when required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
Experience in equipment engineering, maintenance
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automation systems
Ability to work in a production environment and handle multiple priorities
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments
TEL Furnace or other Diffusion Furnace Maintenance experience highly preferred
Equipment performance real time monitoring through sensors via micro-controllers (eg. STM32) / Raspberry Pi computers as part of FDC (Fault Detection Control)
Familiarity with equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and reliability tools
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM
Exposure to statistical analysis and root cause analysis methodologies
