Job description for M&E Engineer at Certis Security
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the performance of M&E systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they escalate.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve any issues related to M&E systems.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors to carry out repairs, upgrades, and maintenance tasks, ensuring work is performed on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
Assist in the design and installation of new M&E systems for building projects or renovations.
Ensure that all building systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
Requirements:
Higher NITEC/Diploma or professional certification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in M&E engineering, particularly within facilities management or related industries.
Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a specific focus on optimising building system performance and ensuring their reliability.
Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and effectively resolving issues related to M&E systems to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and other facility management software, including the ability to utilise these tools for monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Knowledge of energy management practices and sustainability initiatives in building services is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
