Job description for LOGISTIC SECTION MANAGER at UNIMATEC

About the Role

The Logistics Section Manager oversees the daily operation of the Logistics Section and ensures the timely delivery of goods, puts in place stock inventory control and management processes and works with the sales and production team to achieve optimal sales and stock variant.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation of the Logistics Section

Verification of reports and expense invoices, etc

Verification of shipping arrangements

Random audit checks on daily stock takes.

Make sure all external correspondences are follow-up

Support & optimise the production planning

Collect and share sales information internally.

Sales and stock analysis

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve sales, production & raw materials variants issues

Manage customers’ relationship

Attend to all customer inquiries.

Manage and resolve all sales, stock, and delivery-related problems

Oversees the Logistics expenditure

Check on pricing and quotation of vendors

Ensure the section participates in company improvement activities

Encourage and monitor employee submission.

Ensure and manage employees’ performance and development

Provide guidance and coach the team to achieve targeted performance.

Conduct regular check-ins with the team and provide feedback on performance.

Conduct engagement activities and discuss the developmental needs of the team

What We’re Looking For

Min Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration

At least eight years of relevant experience with at least three years in a similar capacity

Knowledge of international trading and supply chain management

Familiar with ERP systems

Strong analytical skills to support decision making.

Strong leadership skills to manage a team of logistics employees.

Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders.

Planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines

Tactful person that handles internal and external working relationship

A person with a high degree of integrity

Independent and proactive in handling issues within and outside of the section

Self-disciplined as a role model for employees

A meticulous and resourceful person

A person that is result-oriented

Strong leadership skill of Trustworthiness, Integrity, Respect & Empathy

Selflessness and Altruism by prioritizing the needs and wellbeing of Team members before your own.

Location: Jurong Island (Company Transport provided)

Commence work: ASAP.

Applicants can work in Singapore without requiring a work pass.

Working hours: 8:00-4:45 pm (Mon - Fri)
