Job description for Lab Technician at Fraser and Neave
· Assist the Quality Control (QC) Officer in carrying out routine laboratory activities, including arranging sample collection from internal warehouses and conducting chemical and physical testing, as well as sample incubation when required.
· Update, maintain, and review shipment documentation for traded products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper record management. This includes actively obtaining Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers and ensuring appropriate filing and documentation.
· Provide support in complaint-related testing for traded products when necessary, working closely with relevant departments to investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
· Coordinate customer complaint handling processes by promptly notifying relevant parties and preparing complaint samples for submission to suppliers for further analysis and resolution.
· Collaborate closely with the Halal Coordinator and co-packer to facilitate new product and renewal applications, ensuring full compliance with halal certification requirements.
· Provide operational support to colleagues during periods of leave to ensure continuity of laboratory operations and maintain overall productivity.
· Collaborate with the team in monitoring New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and conducting Key Quality studies for traded products, contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
· Assist in the preparation, organization, and maintenance of documentation related to new products and suppliers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
· Oversee and manage the calibration program for laboratory equipment, ensuring instruments are accurately calibrated and in proper working condition. Implement and maintain 5S principles to promote an organized and efficient working environment.
· Ensure the proper disposal of expired products and shredded documents in accordance with established schedules, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Review and sign off on the write-off process at the Dry Warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with internal procedures and controls.
· Prepare and submit requisitions for Finished Goods (FG) products through the appropriate internal channels and systems.
