Job description for IT Network Operations Engineer at OHIMA INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD.
Responsibilities:
- Possess network planning capabilities, design network solutions, and handle deployment and maintenance, with the ability to resolve complex network faults.
- Responsible for the daily configuration, inspection, and maintenance of core network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure high availability of network links.
- Monitor network operation status in real time, quickly locate and resolve network faults through traffic analysis and log inspection to minimize business interruption risks.
- Develop and implement network security policies, including access control, vulnerability scanning, and patch management, to ensure data transmission and system security.
- Regularly optimize network topology and bandwidth allocation to improve overall network performance and support efficient operation of business systems.
- Responsible for daily maintenance and troubleshooting of office endpoint devices such as computers and printers to ensure stable device operation.
- Manage internal network access, account permissions configuration, and system software installation/upgrades to maintain a smooth office environment.
- Establish equipment maintenance records, regularly inspect hardware status, and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Respond to employee IT support requests, providing timely technical guidance and problem solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above; preference for candidates majoring in Computer Networking or related fields.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience; proficient in TCP/IP protocol stack, OSI model, routing and switching technologies, VLAN segmentation, network security, etc.
- Familiar with Windows/Linux operating systems; master the basic principles and troubleshooting methods for desktop hardware and network devices; with certain scripting and debugging capabilities.
- Proficient in SDN network technologies, VPN, IP tunneling, and other related technologies, with hands-on experience.
- Experienced in configuring and managing network equipment from mainstream vendors.
- Familiar with common network security attack and defense techniques, with practical skills in this area.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or enterprise-level IT operations and maintenance is preferred.
