Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Junior IT Support Engineer to join our brokerage firm. This role serves as a critical link between our front-office trading operations and our regional IT infrastructure. In this position, you will bridge the gap between technical troubleshooting and regulatory compliance. You will ensure the IT operations align with MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) guidelines. Given our regional structure, business-level proficiency in Mandarin is required to facilitate seamless collaboration with our Taiwan Head Office on system deployments, localized IT policies and technical documentation. Core Responsibilities
Provide IT support: With the support of IT managed services client, provide day-to-day IT support to all staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Trading and Clearing Platform Support: Provide support for premier trading platforms (e.g., CQG, Trading Technologies (TT)) and back-office clearing systems.
Cross-Border Collaboration: Coordinate with Taiwan Head Office to align local IT practices with global group standards.
Cybersecurity and Compliance: Assist in implementation and review of IT security policies in alignment with MAS TRM Guidelines and ISO/IEC 27001 standards. Develop and update technical documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, and disaster recovery (BCP) manuals.
Incident Management: Serve as the technical support during system outages. Perform root cause analysis, maintain incident logs for regulatory reporting, and implement preventive measures.
Access Control & Auditing: Help maintain security controls, manage user access controls (RBAC), maintain accurate inventory and audit logs for regular inspections.
Technical & Academic Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in spoken and written Chinese/Mandarin to communicate seamlessly with the Taiwan HQ and understand technical documentation written in Chinese.
Technical Skills: Solid academic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs), operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
Knowledge: Familiarity with MAS TRM Guidelines, Notice on Cyber Hygiene, ISO/IEC 27001.
