Job description for Inside Sales Application Engineer at SVS VALVES PTE. LTD.
· Developing sales strategies, including participation and representing the company in manufacturer’s regional sales forecast events, special promotions, business events, trade exhibitions and product campaigns/technical demonstrations.
· Leading, motivating and managing the junior sales team to meet or exceed targets in various market segments. (Marine, Process, Data Centre, O & G, Wafer Fab and Semiconductor, Water, Power Generation, Pharma and Others)
· Acquiring the knowledge of utilising valve sizing and selection software for all the products being represented.
· Ability to receive training on technical sales and product software from manufacturer representatives/managers
· Managing sales department issues, including hiring and training Sales Representatives and Application Team and formulating incentive programs.
· Conducting regular sales meetings and providing coaching and feedback to team members on client requirements and order execution/delivery monitoring.
· Preparing and monitoring the sales department budget and strategies.
· Pursuing EPC projects at FEED stage and maintaining/monitoring active project tracking list and opportunities
· Sales pipeline reporting and forecast visibility with Manufacturer/Principal.
· Tracking and analysing sales performance and reporting to distributorship Regional Sales Managers (RSM)
· Handling and resolving escalated customer issues with the products or customer service, ensuring product, service quality and project lead time deliverables.
· Establishing sales and revenue quotas and monitoring the performance of sales staff reporting to the management and accountability to Top Management
· Researching market changes and identifying emerging opportunities on sales pipelines and penetration into new markets.
· Nurturing relationship with vendors, suppliers, collaborators and clients.
· Client management and relationship building with existing and/or new clients for business development, sales & operation support as well as vendor qualifications submissions (New Customers).
· Conducting product training or site application work through lunch & learn sessions.
· Responsible for the competitive sales programs within the company to upgrade sales competence on valves and spares selling, achieving set sales targets by the manufacturers(Farris, Dyna-flo, Qublock & others).
· To lend product sales support to the technical managers and service operations leads on all technical/quality issues relating to repair work and tests raised by the customers.
· To maintain a library of information & records for reference purposes to support sales activities of the company.
· To perform and guide on sizing & selection, generation of quotations, bids and proposals, reviewing technical specifications and commercial aspects
· To involve in the contract review and to thoroughly understand the client’s requirements on commercial aspects to be carried out; as well as communicating the requirements to the technical personnel
· The role has direct access to the sales management at which decisions are taken on the company sales targets and goals.
· To serve as a brand promoter of the company in areas where growth, expansion, expertise and new opportunities are presented for SVS Valves and/or its subsidiary companies.
· To advise sales managers on all sales and business development related activities and be a key driver of achieving company revenue and profitability goals set forth.
