Job description for In-House IT Engineer at Astignes Capital Asia
Astignes Capital is an Asia-focused alternative investment management firm based in Singapore. We are looking to hire an In-House IT Engineer to maintain the company's IT infrastructure, cloud services, virtualization platforms, and end-user systems. The role includes system administration, troubleshooting, security support, Citrix environment management, and daily IT operations.
Responsibilities
• Manage and support Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Support Citrix CVAD and/or NetScaler environments including user sessions, published applications, and connectivity issues.
• Perform basic VMware administration and monitoring.
• Support backup and disaster recovery operations using Veeam and/or Azure Backup.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Understand and interpret logical network diagrams and assist with basic network troubleshooting.
• Support IT security operations including MFA, endpoint protection, patch management, and regular patching cadence.
• Assist with automation and administrative scripting using PowerShell.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and operational records.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant IT infrastructure or system administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Citrix CVAD and/or NetScaler, Windows and Linux operating systems, basic VMware administration, and backup solutions such as Veeam or Azure Backup.
• Basic networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall concepts.
• Experience with MFA implementation, patch management, and security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and hardware support skills.
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred
• Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, CCA-V, VCP-DCV, or Security+.
• Experience with virtualization, cloud migration, or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with monitoring and endpoint management tools.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
