Job description for HSE Engineer (Contract) at Safran Electrical & Power Singapore Pte Ltd
Position Summary
The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Engineer assist to develop and implement policies, programs and systems meant to promote employee health, safety and environmental performance consistent with all regulatory provisions and the Safran Group reference system. He / She also advises and supports the creation and implementation of the local HSE improvement plan and advise and support site management and operational staff to promote employee health, safety and environmental performance.
Job Description:
Assist in maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and support the implementation of Safran Group reference systems, including HSE policies, fundamentals, standards, and objectives.
Assist in regulatory and legal compliance monitoring.
Maintain and regularly review regulatory registers, including the comprehensive assessment register.
Support operational teams in fulfilling HSE obligations and requirements.
Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive action plans.
Manage and coordinate assigned HSE improvement projects.
Prepare and maintain procedures in compliance with Safran HSE Standards derived from ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
Support risk assessments, toolbox meetings, permit-to-work activities, and safety-related documentation.
Ensure effective implementation of emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation preparedness, and first aid arrangements on site.
Maintain all statutory safety documentation, inspection records, and audit readiness for client, internal, and MOM inspections throughout the assignment.
Assist the HSE Manager in deploying HSE procedures and conducting workforce training and awareness programs.
Adhoc duties, as and when assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Diploma in relevant disciplines such as Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Environmental Health, or equivalent professional certification.
MOM registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer
At least 2 years of relevant safety experience.
Hands-on experience with safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Good knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Singapore WSH regulations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
