Job description for Heavylift Engineer at ATLAS SELECT PARTNERS PTE. LTD.

We are seeking a Heavylift Engineer to support the Regional Heavylift/Technical Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of heavy lift, oversize, and high-value cargo projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of complex lifting and marine transport operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and attending day-to-day site operations, including coordination and inspection meetings
  • Guiding inter-functional teams on heavylift and technical aspects across business development, project management, engineering, planning, and control
  • Ensuring HSE, technical, and operational standards are followed across all contracted works
  • Developing process-driven procedures and SOPs to optimise deployment, scheduling, and execution of heavylift and technical activities
  • Designing and providing lifting plans, transportation plans, stowage plans, cargo securing plans, and CAD drawings as required
  • Issuing, reviewing, and verifying engineering calculations and Method Statements
  • Conducting route and site surveys and feasibility studies
  • Supporting marine transport coordination, including storage planning and scheduling in line with tidal and vessel requirements
  • Undertaking overseas business travel as required

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Engineer or in a similar role, ideally with project management and operational experience in the international logistics industry
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD applications, 3D modelling, and structural engineering analysis
  • Strong understanding of safety and heavylift requirements
  • NEBOSH certification or similar is an advantage
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Marine transport or logistics experience preferred
