POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function and internal controls/procedures.
At the heart of the Finance Manager job is the ability to determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives. He/she is expected to produce regular reports using financial data, and work collaboratively across the entire finance team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support business growth and long-term planning
Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
Lead and mentor a small finance team, overseeing day-to-day operations and fostering a culture of excellence
Financial Planning & Analysis
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Analyze financial data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights and recommendations
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance
Accounting & Reporting
Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial and management reports
Respond to financial inquiries from regional finance teams and senior leadership
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including SFRS and US GAAP
Review GST submissions and annual tax filings to IRAS
Support external audits and prepare statutory financial statements
Uphold corporate governance standards and continuously improve internal control frameworks
Process Improvement & Systems
Drive ad hoc finance transformation projects, including automation and reporting enhancements
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and data integrity
EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training)
Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/equivalent.
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
At least 4 years experience in a similar role.
Abreast of industry updates.
Technical Skills
Financial Reporting- Ensures accurate and timely month-end and year-end reports for internal and external stakeholders
