Job description for Engineer at ENGIE Group

Job Description:

  • Manage and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical systems and equipment within the facility.
  • Ensure smooth operation of electrical infrastructure including LV systems, switchboards, transformers, UPS, generators, lighting, and emergency power systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and fault rectification for electrical systems.
  • Support day-to-day facilities operations and respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors to ensure works are completed safely and according to specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation, maintenance records, and statutory inspection reports.
  • Support fit-out works, upgrading projects, and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for operational reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and permit-to-work activities.
  • Assist in budgeting, procurement, and cost control for maintenance and project activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external authorities when required.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with building electrical systems and troubleshooting works.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/BMS systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle emergency situations when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour
