About the role
Transport patients to and from their designated pick up and drop off points in a safe and timely manner, working closely with the van escort to provide comfortable and safe care during journeys.
Key responsibilities:
Plan the daily route to transport patients to and from their designated pick up / drop off point in a safe and timely manner
Work closely with the van escort to provide comfortable and safe care to the patients during the journey, as well as to transport them safely at all times
Notify the Senior Manager immediately of any safety concerns or behavioural issues of patients should any be observed during the journey
Comply with all road safety regulations of the Traffic Police
Plan transport arrangement for patient outings
Ensure that the maintenance schedule for all vans are adhered to
Perform general duties such maintaining accurate record of schedule, routes, mileage, equipment inspections, maintenance and repair logs on a regular basis
Assist in logistics preparation for Day Care activities / programmes
Undertake to keep oneself well informed of the updated traffic guidelines and road diversion / new roads to aid in the efficient planning of van routes
Requirements:
Preferably with PSLE or GCE O Level or NITEC qualification
Valid Class 3 driving licence without demerit points
At least 2 years of relevant working experience
Bilingual and ability to communicate in local dialects preferred
Possess strong sense of responsibility for safety, patient, considerate and courteous towards patients
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently as well as in a team
Possess strong passion to serve
