Job description for Delivery Operations Supervisor at Nosh Cuisine
The Delivery Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily delivery operations while performing delivery duties to ensure all catering orders are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. The role oversees the delivery team, maintains vehicle and food safety standards, coordinates logistics, and ensures excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities;
Delivery Operations
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of delivery drivers and delivery assistants.
Plan and assign delivery routes to optimise efficiency and punctuality.
Ensure all catering orders are delivered according to customer requirements and scheduled timelines.
Perform deliveries and buffet setup when operationally required.
Monitor daily delivery schedules and resolve delivery issues promptly.
Ensure accurate loading, unloading, collection, and return of catering equipment.
Team Supervision
Lead, motivate, and supervise the delivery team to achieve operational targets.
Conduct daily deployment briefings and assign duties.
Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, productivity, and discipline.
Train new drivers on delivery procedures, customer service standards, food safety, and company SOPs.
Coach team members to improve performance and maintain service excellence.
Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure all food is transported under the required temperature conditions.
Verify that insulated boxes, hot holding equipment, and refrigerated vehicles are functioning properly before dispatch.
Ensure compliance with SFA regulations, HACCP, food safety requirements, and company SOPs.
Ensure practices are in line with strict compliance-led Food Handling & Hygiene Standards, Health & Safety Regulations (ISO22K and Bizsafe) and company’s SOP for preparations, presentations, sanitation, storage and safety matters.
Monitor vehicle cleanliness and sanitation before and after each delivery.
Report and investigate any food safety incidents or customer complaints relating to deliveries.
Vehicle Management
Conduct and verify daily vehicle inspection checks before deployment.
Monitor vehicle servicing schedules, maintenance, insurance, road tax, and inspection due dates.
Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, or damages immediately.
Ensure company vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
Monitor fuel usage and promote efficient driving practices.
Inventory & Equipment Control
Verify catering equipment and delivery items before departure.
Ensure accurate accountability of all buffet equipment, utensils, thermal boxes, and service items.
Coordinate the return and reconciliation of equipment after events.
Report missing or damaged equipment promptly.
Customer Service
Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers.
Ensure prompt resolution of delivery-related issues and customer feedback.
Obtain customer acknowledgement upon delivery where required.
Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
Administration & Reporting
Maintain delivery records, vehicle checklists, temperature logs, fuel records, and incident reports.
Submit daily delivery performance reports.
Report delays, accidents, customer complaints, and operational issues to management promptly.
Assist with route planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum GCE 'N'/'O' Level or equivalent.
Valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 4 Driving Licence.
Food Safety Certification (preferred).
