Job Description:

To provide professional services to support VPC activities in Data Center.

Manage the physical setup/maintenance for customer's Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Infra.

Ensure all hardware for server, storage, network and storage are mounted as per the design.

Coordinate with data centre facility on the roll in, roll out of hardware and vendor access.

Plan / Schedule and work closely with OEM vendors on physical installation, configuration, testing and break-fix for hardware.

Provide 1st Level investigation into hardware or connectivity issues.

Provide physical hands-on support for all server hardware, e.g. power-cycle or reboot.

Requirement:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.

Knowledge on server hardware, SAN storage and networking components (routers & switches).

Technical know-how of server components, e.g. HDD, CPU, RAM, network and storage cards.

Ability to effectively communicate technical terms/jargons with vendor's engineer and across multiple teams.

Good trouble shooting skills and multitasking skills are required.

Detailed oriented with good organizational skills.

Familiar with large DC facilities.

Must be able to perform shift work and commit 1-year contract.
