Job description for Cybersecurity Engineer at Frontier Force Technology Pte Ltd
The Cybersecurity Engineer will specialize in cybersecurity for government agency systems, performing maintenance, operational, and support duties to ensure a strong and positive security posture. The role contributes to continuous improvement of processes and operational routines.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and operate security controls across government IT systems (endpoints, servers, network devices, cloud workloads, identity platforms).
Monitor security alerts and events; perform triage, analysis, containment, and remediation of incidents.
Support vulnerability management: run scans, validate findings, prioritize remediation, and verify fixes.
Apply configuration hardening, patch management, and secure baseline enforcement for systems and services.
Manage and tune security tooling (SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, NAC, CASB, vulnerability scanners).
Conduct routine security health checks, audits, and compliance checks against government frameworks and policies.
Implement and maintain identity and access management controls, including least-privilege, MFA, and privileged access solutions.
Produce and maintain documentation: runbooks, incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
Provide operational support and guidance to system owners and administrators on secure design, deployment, and change management.
Participate in incident response activities and post-incident reviews; propose and implement corrective actions.
Perform threat hunting and proactive detection activities to identify and reduce risk exposure.
Assist with risk assessments, security reviews, and integration of security requirements into projects and procurement.
Deliver security awareness briefings and technical guidance to stakeholders as required.
Continuously improve processes, tooling, and personal skills; contribute to team knowledge-sharing and capability building.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
1 years hands-on experience or junior role and 3 years for senior role in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or related roles, ideally supporting government or regulated environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce clear documentation and explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Candidate with leadership management of cybersecurity operations experience may apply and shall be considered for a more senior position with different remunerations.
