Job description for Control Systems Engineer at Onesystems Technologies Pte. Ltd.
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Control Systems Engineer to lead the project execution of control systems installation, including MAU control systems and facility monitoring/control system (FMCS) work at semiconductor and industrial client sites. You will be involved from project planning through to commissioning and handover, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities
Take ownership of technical delivery for control systems installation projects from design through commissioning
Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC/SCADA-based control systems (e.g. MAU controls, BMS/FMCS integration)
Conduct site surveys, coordinate installation works, and supervise subcontractors/vendors on-site
Perform system testing, commissioning, and validation against client specifications
Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and provide fixes/workarounds to keep the project on schedule
Liaise directly with client technical teams on-site to resolve issues and confirm acceptance
Prepare technical documentation — as-built drawings, commissioning reports, test records
Ensure work complies with site safety standards, especially in cleanroom/critical facility environments
Report progress and technical risks to the Project Manager
About you
Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field
3–5 years' hands-on experience in controls engineering, BMS/FMCS installation, or industrial automation project execution
Strong working knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
Experience with MAU/HVAC control systems, cleanroom, or critical facility environments strongly preferred
Able to work independently on-site and manage technical issues in real time
Comfortable with site-based work and travel between project locations if required
Good communication skills for direct client-facing technical coordination
