Job description for Commis at Katong Holdings Pte Ltd
Join us as a Commis in Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong at our Baba Chews Restaurent, focusing on all-day modern Asian cuisine. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills. We’re looking for someone who can:
Prepare food in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
Assist department head to controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
Provides support on daily operations and mise en place
Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
Ensure that all relevant buffet / display set-ups are prepared ahead of guest’s arrival and in adherence with hotel standards
Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers
Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration and storage of dishes.
Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
Cleans and re-sets working area
Ensure that uniforms are always clean and tidy
Able to work rotating shift (inclusive of night shift due to In-Room-Dining)
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
With 1 year’s related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
