Job description for CNC PROGRAMMER/OPERATOR at Finetec Engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Operate press brake machines to bend, shape, or cut sheet metal to precise specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand project requirements.
- Prepare and position metal sheets and plates onto the machine, ensuring accurate alignment
- Select the correct dies and tooling, and program the machine's computer numerical control (CNC) unit
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and defects, making adjustments to the machine or process as needed
- Cleaning and routine lubrication of the machines to maintain accurate machine performance
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, operate machinery, and use hand tools.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of metal properties and how the machines work to produce specific shapes.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is required to ensure the final products meet precise specifications.
- Math Skills: Proficiency in using mathematics for calculations related to material bending and machine settings.
- Work Experience: At least 2 year experience in a fabrication, manufacturing or engineering company
