Job description for Chief Steward at FMC SERVICES PTE. LTD.

·               Havea strong passion for clean kitchens and working environment

·               To ensure there are always clean cutleries and utensils for all kitchens and restaurant ready for their service

·               To sanitize all areas to the highest standard

·               To be able to work with other cleaners

·               Deliver and surpass internal customers satisfaction

·               Proactive and has ability to lead and work independently

·               Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task

·               Can operate and maintain cleaning equipment

·               Adhere to good safety habits, cleaning policies and procedures

·               Ability to provide on-the-job training and orientation to new employees and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Stewarding department

·               Oversee the hotel back-of-house operation, proper storage of food, kitchen utensils, operating equipment, highest level of sanitation of all kitchens

·               Have ability to take ownership of hotel property

·               Knowledge of cleaning process and sterilizing of cold room, dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning, banquet food plating order and food running

·               Able to work on weekends and festive holidays

·               Experience in a 5-star hotel is a must

·               Work closely with another department in the hotel

·               Provide a supportive role and flexible manner with another department

·               Conduct inventory of hotel operating equipment

·               Liaise with the F&B Department and Culinary on daily operations

·               Hands-on leader who is proactive and can lead and guide a team efficiently

·               Understand Banquet events and forecast, outside-catering functions. Experience with major events like F1 race will be an added advantage

·               Ensure compliance with HACCP standard

·               Control and manage chemical cost
