- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials accurately, using hand and power tools, to build or repair structures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Install structures, including framing, walls, partitions, and roofing systems, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
- Construct and install interior and exterior finishes, including trims, moldings, casings, doors, and windows for a polished and professional appearance.
- Interpreting blueprints and drawing up plans to determine materials required and a plan of action.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other construction materials.
- Constructing building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes.
- Ensuring structures are level, square, and securely assembled.
- Installing features such as doors, cabinets, stairs, and paneling.
- Inspecting and replacing damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.
