Our client is seeking a Cafe Supervisor/ Manager to join their team!

What you'll be doing?

Front-of-House Operations — Take charge of daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth service flow, efficient table turnover, and accurate order handling to deliver a consistently great guest experience.

Customer Engagement — Be the face of the cafe by handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and welcoming manner, turning every interaction into a positive one.

Team Leadership & Training — Inspire, guide, and develop service staff and part-timers on service standards, POS systems, and cash handling procedures to build a confident and capable team.

Workforce Coordination — Manage staff scheduling and attendance, and support manpower planning to ensure the outlet is always well-resourced during service hours.

Inventory & Stock Management — Monitor beverage, supply, and retail inventory levels, and coordinate purchasing and replenishment to keep the cafe running without interruption.

Food Safety & Compliance — Uphold Singapore's food safety, hygiene, and workplace standards in line with SFA and NEA guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both staff and guests.

Opening & Closing Duties — Oversee daily opening and closing procedures including cash reconciliation and POS reporting to ensure financial accuracy and operational readiness.

Kitchen Collaboration — Work hand in hand with the kitchen team to maintain food and beverage quality, consistency, and timely delivery for every order.

Sales & Performance Support — Contribute to outlet sales targets, customer retention initiatives, and daily operational goals to support the overall success of the business.

Supplier & Procurement Coordination — Assist with supplier liaison, procurement, and sourcing of supplies from local and online vendors.

Outlet Presentation & Safety — Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall outlet presentation to create a welcoming and professional environment at all times.

Who are they looking for?

F&B Experience — Candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience in a cafe, restaurant, or casual dining setting are encouraged to apply, particularly those with a background in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Food Safety Certification — Holding a valid SFA Food Safety certification is preferred, with Level 1 to 3 being advantageous in demonstrating commitment to food hygiene standards.

Relevant Education — NITEC, Diploma, or Degree in Hospitality, Business, Culinary Arts, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent practical experience is equally valued.

Tech-Savvy — Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management tools, and basic Microsoft Office applications will support day-to-day operational efficiency.

Culinary Knowledge — A background or interest in pastry and Italian cuisine is a bonus and will be well-regarded in this role.

Leadership & Service Mindset — Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service abilities are key to thriving in this role and fostering a positive team culture.

Passion for Food & People — A genuine enthusiasm for food and a natural ability to connect with and engage customers will set a great candidate apart.

Shift Flexibility — The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required to support the operational needs of the outlet.
