Job description for Business Analyst – EdTech/Digital Platforms at Ascendion
Role:
We are looking for a business analyst with strong experience in education technology (EdTech), digital platforms, or customer-facing portal ecosystems to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and external vendors to drive requirements gathering, workflow optimisation, platform enhancements, and operational improvements across education-related systems and digital services.
The ideal candidate should have prior exposure to student lifecycle workflows, enrolment systems, CRM integrations, parent/customer portals, or learning management ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
Engage business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
Translate business requirements into user stories, BRDs, FRDs, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and vendor teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Support digital platforms such as enrolment systems, CRM workflows, customer/parent portals, and operational dashboards.
Analyse business processes and recommend optimisation opportunities.
Support UAT planning, test case validation, defect tracking, and production rollout activities.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and timelines.
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.
Support agile delivery ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews.
Required Skills:
Domain Experience: EdTech, education platforms, student lifecycle systems, parent/customer portals, CRM workflow systems, enrolment/registration platforms, and learning management systems (LMS).
Business Analysis: Requirement gathering, process mapping, user stories, BRD / FRD documentation, gap analysis, UAT coordination, and stakeholder management.
Technical Understanding: API integrations, digital platforms, CRM systems, web/mobile applications, data flow understanding, and agile/Scrum delivery models.
