Job Description

Operate and perform routine maintenance and inspection for natural gas / biomass boiler

Effectively support the production process to ensure the realization of the steam demand based on production and quality requirements of the site

Monitoring of boiler operating parameters and steam demand for production. Boiler Operation accountable for fuel (natural gas, diesel and cocoa shell) usage and plant steam consumptions, to enforce and comply with the site procedures so that housekeeping, cGMP, quality, safety, occupational hygiene and environmental protection requirements are met

Operate the boiler as per set parameters and deliver the steam demand at main header and plant distribution networks

Monitor and enforce compliance measures (including safety) within Utilities function to ensure inspection readiness of plant

Responsible to carry out boiler maintenance and managing contractor during scheduled boiler maintenance

Manage the site computerized maintenance system and its data / records to ensure that the information is accurate and inspection-ready at all times. T

Provide reports from the system and used as tools for maintenance decision

Job Requirements

Holders of Nitec/Higher Nitec with minimum 5 years in food processing or related industry

Possess a valid Class 1 Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency is a must

At least 5 years handling Natural Gas Steam Boiler 

Experience in handling Biomass Boiler is an advantage

Holding a valid forklift driving license is an advantage

Good understanding, hands on experience and exposure to natural gas boiler

Understand the requirements for pressure vessel's inspection by local authority

Good understanding of GMP, GEP and EHS requirement
